Installation

"Spectre-mitigated libraries required" during build

See Installation Guide.

App won't start

  • Make sure you have Windows 10/11 64-bit
  • Try the portable version if the installer version has issues
  • Check Windows Event Viewer for crash logs

AI Chat

No response / loading forever

  1. Check you're signed in (CfxKit AI requires login)
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. If using your own API key, verify it's valid in Settings

"Monthly limit reached"

You've used all your free messages. Options:

  • Upgrade to Pro or Team
  • Add your own API key in Settings for unlimited usage

"Invalid or expired token"

Your session expired. Sign out and sign in again.

Database

"No database selected" in Build

Connect to your MySQL database first in the Database Manager tab. The export toggle is only available when a connection is active.

Can't connect to database

  • Verify your MySQL server is running
  • Check host, port, username, password
  • Make sure your database allows remote connections if not on localhost

Server Management

FXServer won't start

  • Check that FXServer is installed and the path is correct
  • Verify your server.cfg has a valid license key
  • Check the console output for specific error messages

Console shows garbled text

Your terminal may not support ANSI colors. This is cosmetic and doesn't affect functionality.

Performance

Slow file tree loading

CfxKit uses virtualized rendering. If you have thousands of files, the initial scan may take a few seconds. Subsequent loads are cached.

High memory usage

  • Close unused tabs
  • Disable resources you're not actively working on
  • Restart CfxKit if memory usage exceeds 1GB
