Installation

CfxKit ships as a Windows desktop app with a built-in auto-updater. Install it once and it keeps itself current.

Get the latest build from cfxkit.com:

  • CfxKit Setup is the Windows installer. Recommended for most users.
  • CfxKit Portable runs from any folder with no installation.
  1. Run the downloaded CfxKit Setup installer.
  2. It installs to Program Files and creates Start menu and desktop shortcuts.
  3. Launch CfxKit from your desktop or the Start menu.

The portable build skips this step: drop the executable in any folder and run it directly.

Click Sign In in the top-right to unlock CfxKit AI and cloud features.

  • Sign in with Discord or Google.
  • A free account includes the full IDE with bring-your-own-key support.
  • Paid plans (Plus, Pro, Max) include AI tokens, so you do not need your own key. See CfxKit AI for the breakdown.

Signing in is optional. The editor, server manager, and database tools work offline; only the built-in AI requires an account.

Once you are in, point CfxKit at a server:

  • New project: pick FiveM or RedM, choose a framework template (QBCore, ESX, QBox, or VORP), and select a folder for the server files.
  • Import existing server: select your server-data folder, the one that holds server.cfg. CfxKit detects the framework and resources automatically.

Your First Project walks through both paths in detail.
